TEAM YETI

Norah Jones-Chief Feline Officer

In addition to mixing some sweet music to edit photos to, our cat Norah Jones handles most of the executive functions of our company. Her favorite aspect of her job is handling customer complaints with her patented, "W.H.O. C.A.R.E.S." system. When asked where her favorite weddings are held, she replies, "On the beach. There's guaranteed to be fish for dinner."

On a serious note, Norah was a stray at a wedding I was photographing in 2023. It only seemed appropriate to name her after my favorite singer. Fun fact, the original Norah Jones knows about our kitty, Norah.

If you email our cat, she will email you back within 48hrs. What, did you think she'd leave you hangin'? She's a cat, not a monster.

Vanessa-Assistant & Boudoir Creative Consultant

Vanessa lights up my life both as a fantastic lighting assistant and my life partner. She is an award winning Milliner, Costumer, and Burlesque Performer. She works full time for The Guthrie Theatre in Minneapolis and owns her own company making custom costumes under the moniker V.Modiste. Her work has been featured all over the world, including The MET. She also serves as another safe person our clients can go to when planning their boudoir session with us. Fun fact, I met her as an audience member at one of her burlesque shows.

Yeti- Chief Photography Officer

Hi there! I'm Joseph Yetman. Professionals and friends alike call me Yeti. Depth, authenticity, and inclusion are the single most important aspects of my work that I focus on. I've been photographing primarily weddings and portraits the last 14 years, but my art has taken a step into the boudoir world as of late. My life partner, Vanessa, has locked arms with me in this venture to create a safe space where all walks of life can feel welcome. Equally as important, they can discover that a photo session can be a catalyst for healing and acceptance too. At my base, I love people. I thrive when I'm connected to my community. I'm also a little crazy and perhaps a smidge direct, I like words to have power. I spend about 35-40 weekends a year eating wedding cake and photographing bubbly couples. I'd like to say it's my passion for capturing life's moments that gets me out of bed in the morning, but my friends know better, it's the cake. In fact, I've traveled quite far to partake in delectable desserts, even beyond our nation's borders. I've shot weddings in Slovenia and Hungary, as well as the Captiva Islands here stateside. Visited Grenada, Germany, Austria, and Bavaria. I've shot about 400 weddings the last 14 years and my work has been circulated through thousands of homes across 40+ countries. Nuptials aside, I spend a good chunk of my time photographing families, high school seniors, and people's furry friends. I capture concerts and events for various organizations such as Cities97 and KDWB under the iHeartRadio banner. I also provide commercial photography for small to medium sized businesses, including nonprofits and community groups. I'm also a newly minted member of the Twin Cities Professional Photography Association.

The project I'm most known for is called The Isaac Initiative. I founded it back in 2015 after I received a request to photograph a 7yr old boy named Isaac, who happened to be in children's hospice care. I photographed him and his family reading stories to one another and participating in music therapy. It is still one of the most beautiful and defining moments of my life, but also so sad. He passed away about 12 hours after our photo session and it had a profound impact me. It still continues to. It changed the way I capture weddings and how I treat people. Do I still provide end of life sessions for children and adults? Most often times, yes. Isaac's memory is alive and well, but that organization was dissolved in 2021 for personal mental health reasons. Feel free to send me an email and fill me in on your situation. I promise to do all that I can.

Whether you're a client or a fellow photog, I am always interested in making new connections. Feel free to contact me with any photographic inquiries, general questions, hopes, fears, dreams, etc. If you have invited me into your home or office to take pictures, you have invited me into your lives; that is much appreciated. With that, I bid you adieu. –Yeti
